In a unexpected collaboration that challenges conventional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Disclosed

According to the formal statement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where whispers of banned rituals and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Transformations

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Bonus Content

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Latest Free Story Content

This release also adds the game's third free story addition, titled "The Enigma." Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also features a original environmental puzzle that may finally clarify some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
