Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
